I was lucky enough to spend the start of the year with Senu as she let me in to all corners of her life. I’ve seen her so full with joy. I’ve also witnessed moments of heartbreak, injury, nastiness against her and above all being told she can’t. Then she picks herself up and does it anyway. When I first spoke with Senu she told me she finds it easier to keep going when her friends tell her to “remember her name” ...“I am SENU!” she said.

Few briefs speak more directly to why I love filmmaking than this one. Celebrating MediCinema's extraordinary work bringing the magic of cinema to children and adults in hospital, meant finding the balance between the cinematic scale of the Star Wars universe and the intimate reality of a child's experience.

I’ve personally experienced the limitations society often imposes, both directly and subtly, on what women and girls can achieve. Even today, women remain underrepresented in many roles across photography and film. That’s why bringing this project to life alongside an all-female crew was particularly meaningful. Beyond the excitement of working with such a talented and dedicated team, it was inspiring to create a space where girls could see firsthand that they, too, can pursue any path they choose - whether it’s climbing a rig, driving a van, or commanding a camera. It’s about showing them that the possibilities are limitless.

I loved the gentleness of this one. It was about finding small moments of comfort and play, imagining Woody, Jessie and the gang really had come to life in hospital. We tucked Disney Easter eggs into every corner we could, and I hope they're still being spotted.

This is a bit of a love letter to London - or maybe a slightly exasperated voicenote to it. We shot it as a one-take, 360° dance film on a windswept rooftop, racing the fading light, shooting on film and embracing whatever the evening gave us. It felt important that the film carried the city's restless energy, and somewhere between the choreography and the voice notes, sure enough that same feeling found its way in.

This was a global collaboration with EarthPercent, bringing together 56 creatives across 21 countries, working with existing imagery from my own and fellow photographers’ archives. It felt like a reminder that connection doesn’t always need to be newly made - sometimes it already exists in what people have captured, and in how music can quietly hold it all together.

On a cold but incredibly sunny winters day, me and my good friend Amina frolicked around Crystal Palace like we do together most days, but this time whilst I held a Super8 in collaboration with Jimmy Fairly.

We wanted to reframe litter picking as something positive - not punishment, but pride in place. Something shared, social and quietly cool. Whilst shooting in Tottenham, we picked up six bags of litter ourselves as we went.

This was the first of three films I've made with Disney and MediCinema, and it still feels incredibly special. I loved exploring how differently children imagine and play - three personalities, three worlds, all connected by the same sense of wonder and the small moments of escapism film can offer.
